The initiative allows UnionBank customers to deposit cash into peso savings and checking accounts outside traditional bank branches, making banking services more accessible in convenience stores, malls, groceries, and community centers nationwide.

The new service is designed to support customers who regularly handle cash, including small business owners, freelancers, and individuals living or working far from bank branches. Participating kiosk locations include Alfamart, Puregold, Lawson, O! Save, and Puremart stores.

According to UnionBank, one of the key features of the service is real-time posting, enabling customers to immediately access deposited funds for bills payment, fund transfers, online purchases, and daily expenses.

Albert Raymond C. Cuadrante, UnionBank’s Chief Marketing & Experience Officer, said the partnership reflects the bank’s focus on making financial services more convenient and accessible based on modern customer lifestyles.

Meanwhile, ECPay President and CEO Patricia D. Pascual said the collaboration supports the company’s goal of bringing essential financial services closer to Filipinos through a wider nationwide kiosk network.

Customers can deposit up to ₱10,000 per transaction using the kiosks, providing a fast and convenient alternative to branch-based banking.

The partnership complements UnionBank’s existing branch and ATM network as the bank continues to expand digital and alternative banking channels across the country.
