AIA Philippines has enhanced its AIA Vitality health and wellness program with personalized health assessments, photo-based food tracking, and expanded rewards to help members build healthier habits through technology-driven insights.

The upgraded program aims to bridge the gap between health awareness and everyday action by combining health monitoring, wellness activities, and incentives in one platform.

The update follows AIA Philippines’ 2026 Rethink Healthy study, which found that seven in 10 Filipinos prioritize physical health, while 60% want to take a more proactive approach to mental well-being. However, 83% said they became more proactive about their health only after experiencing major life events, such as illness, hospitalization, or job loss.

“Our research shows that Filipinos want to take greater ownership of their health, but they need the right support to turn intention into action,” said Melita Teo, president and chief executive officer of AIA Philippines.

Personalized assessments and food tracking

The enhanced AIA Vitality platform follows a three-part approach: Know Your Health, Improve Your Health, and Get Rewarded.

Its updated Health Assessment evaluates several aspects of well-being, including physical activity, fitness, nutrition, biometrics, health conditions, mental health, sleep, and alcohol and tobacco use. It generates three measures: Vitality Age, Vitality Health Priority, and Vitality Future Health, helping members understand their health status and identify areas for improvement.

Another key addition is the Food Tracker, which allows members to upload photos of their meals for food ratings, nutritional feedback, calorie and macronutrient information, and personalized recommendations. Weekly reports also help users monitor their eating habits.

Members earn points by completing health assessments and participating in activities such as exercise, healthy eating, and getting sufficient sleep. Their progress determines their status, ranging from Bronze to Silver, Gold, and Platinum, with higher levels unlocking additional rewards.

Expanded wellness rewards

The refreshed program offers eligible members discounts of up to 50% on Nike products, up to 15% on luggage and accessories from The Travel Club, and up to 15% on Garmin fitness devices.

Members can also access a complimentary AIA Vitality Health Check at MediCard, including a free consultation with a MediCard doctor for results outside the normal range. Benefits are subject to applicable terms and conditions.

AIA Vitality is available through selected AIA health solutions, including AIA Critical Protect Plus, AIA Critical Protect 100, and AIA All-in-One, as well as BPI AIA products such as BPI AIA MultiCare Protect and BPI AIA Critical Care 100.

By integrating personalized health insights, nutrition tracking, and rewards, AIA Philippines aims to make preventive health management more accessible and encourage Filipinos to turn healthier intentions into sustainable daily habits.
