The Philippines has emerged as one of the top three export markets for the Ford Ranger Raptor, alongside Australia and South Africa, underscoring the sustained demand for the high-performance pickup among Filipino buyers.
Ford has produced more than 215,000 Ranger Raptor units globally since the model’s debut in 2018. Manufactured primarily at the Ford Thailand Manufacturing plant in Rayong, Thailand, the performance pickup is now exported to 106 countries, with production also expanding to the United States in 2023 for the North American market.
Originally developed as a low-volume performance truck, the Ranger Raptor exceeded expectations as global demand surged, establishing itself as a benchmark in the high-performance off-road pickup segment through its combination of advanced engineering, off-road capability, and performance technology.
According to Pedro Simoes, Managing Director of Ford Philippines, the Ranger Raptor’s strong market performance reflects Filipino customers’ appreciation for Ford Performance engineering, with the vehicle evolving into both an off-road icon and a lifestyle symbol.
The Philippine lineup is led by the Ranger Raptor 3.0L V6, powered by a twin-turbo EcoBoost engine producing 397PS and 583Nm of torque. The pickup also features a performance-tuned 10-speed automatic transmission with an anti-lag system for Baja mode and FOX 2.5-inch Live Valve internal bypass shock absorbers, delivering enhanced off-road performance for enthusiasts.
Ford’s continued investment in performance engineering and advanced off-road technologies has helped position the Ranger Raptor as one of the most sought-after premium pickup trucks in the Philippine market.
