HONOR is redefining its future by transitioning from a smartphone manufacturer into an AI device ecosystem company, marking a strategic shift toward intelligent devices powered by artificial intelligence, connected experiences, and next-generation technologies.

The company’s transformation is highlighted by its vision of the “Robot Phone,” a new category of AI-powered devices designed to move beyond traditional smartphones. HONOR said the shift reflects years of innovation across hardware, software, imaging, robotics, and ecosystem development.

Key technology milestones behind HONOR’s evolution include advancements in on-device AI, system-wide AI integration, foldable smartphone leadership, and the development of Agentic OS, a next-generation operating system designed to enable more intelligent device interactions.

HONOR also highlighted its AiMAGE computational photography system, which combines end-cloud collaboration to enhance imaging capabilities, as well as its partnership with ARRI to explore new possibilities in mobile cinematography.

The company’s AI ecosystem strategy is supported by recent market performance. HONOR reported 25% year-on-year growth in the first quarter of 2026, becoming the only Chinese smartphone brand to record positive growth during the period. The company also maintained a Top 2 position globally in foldable smartphones, with overseas revenue contributing more than half of its total revenue.

Beyond technology, HONOR is expanding its brand identity through collaborations with global events, creative communities, and lifestyle partners, aiming to connect with younger consumers through innovation, culture, and shared experiences.

HONOR said its renewed strategy represents a broader ambition to create an open and collaborative AI device ecosystem where smartphones, intelligent hardware, and software services work together to deliver more personalized experiences.

The company emphasized that its “Dare to be” philosophy remains central to its journey as it continues developing AI-driven technologies aimed at shaping the future of digital interaction.
