AIA Philippines has launched AIA Advantage Max, a single-premium investment-linked insurance product that combines life insurance protection with access to global investment funds and the potential for quarterly payouts.

Available in Philippine peso and US dollar denominations, the product is designed for individuals seeking investment opportunities and potential income alongside life insurance coverage.

Advantage Max provides access to the Global Dynamic Income Paying Fund (GDIF), which has a historical annualized payout rate of over 6%, and the new Global Adventurous Income Fund (GAIF), which targets a 7% annualized payout rate. These figures are not guaranteed returns, as fund distributions depend on investment performance and applicable terms.

“AIA Advantage Max is designed with these principles in mind. It combines life insurance protection with access to professionally managed global investment opportunities and the potential for income,” said Goh Chong Yong, chief investment officer of AIA Philippines.

The product offers a start-up bonus of up to 5% of the single premium, distributed over the first five policy years. Beginning in policy year 10, eligible policyholders may also receive a loyalty bonus equivalent to 2% of the average monthly account value over the preceding 60 months, every five years thereafter, subject to policy terms.

For life insurance protection, Advantage Max provides coverage until age 100. Its death benefit is based on the higher of 125% of the single premium or 105% of the account value, including credited start-up bonuses. The product also offers guaranteed issuance without requiring medical examinations.

As an investment-linked insurance product, Advantage Max carries market risks. Account values and fund distributions may fluctuate, and payouts are not guaranteed. AIA Philippines advises prospective customers to review the product’s charges, risks, and policy conditions with an AIA Life Planner to determine its suitability for their financial goals and risk tolerance.
