Berde Renewables has signed a strategic partnership with Sungrow Power and regional distributor Solar Hive to accelerate the deployment of solar and battery energy storage projects across the Philippines and Thailand.
Under a three-year Master Framework Agreement (MFA), Berde Renewables will procure 200 megawatts (MW) of solar inverters and 500 megawatt-hours (MWh) of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), strengthening its capacity to deliver cleaner, more reliable, and cost-efficient energy solutions for commercial and industrial customers.
The agreement enables Berde to integrate Sungrow’s portfolio of solar inverters, battery storage systems, EV charging solutions, and smart energy technologies into its renewable energy projects. Solar Hive will provide regional logistics, technical support, spare parts, and after-sales services across both markets.
According to Berde Renewables, the large-scale battery storage commitment will help businesses improve energy resilience by supporting grid stability, reducing electricity costs, and enabling daytime solar energy to be stored for use during peak evening demand.
The partnership also aims to accelerate project deployment through improved access to factory-new equipment and a more efficient regional supply chain, helping customers move renewable energy projects from planning to commissioning more quickly.
Beyond technology deployment, the three companies will collaborate on technical training, certification programs, market development initiatives, stakeholder engagement, and potential co-investment and vendor financing opportunities.
Berde Renewables said the agreement supports its Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) model, under which the company finances, builds, owns, and operates customers’ solar energy systems before transferring ownership at the end of the contract period.
The collaboration reflects growing investment in renewable energy and battery storage technologies as businesses across Southeast Asia seek more sustainable and resilient power solutions.
