Converge ICT Solutions Inc. has been designated as an official connectivity partner of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) for the Philippines’ hosting of key Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) meetings, reinforcing the country’s digital infrastructure capabilities for high-level international events.

As part of its role, Converge is providing fiber broadband connectivity ranging from 1 Gbps to 5 Gbps across major meeting venues and strategic locations nationwide, including airports, hotels, and conference centers.

Converge CEO and Co-Founder Dennis Anthony Uy said the company is proud to showcase its “world-class connectivity” to foreign delegates and local leaders participating in ASEAN meetings held across the country.

“For the 48th ASEAN Summit at the Mactan Expo Center this May, we will be delivering uninterrupted 5-gigabit speeds,” Uy said, highlighting the company’s support for large-scale regional events.

DICT Secretary Henry Aguda emphasized the importance of reliable connectivity in ensuring the success of the Philippines’ ASEAN hosting duties, noting that seamless digital infrastructure is essential for international collaboration and diplomacy.

Converge has already activated connectivity in 11 key sites across Metro Manila and Cebu, including venues such as the Mactan Expo Center, Diamond Hotel Manila Bay, The Peninsula Manila, NuStar Integrated Hotel and Casino, and Crimson Resort and Spa Boracay.

The company is also providing high-speed internet at Ninoy Aquino International Airport terminals, with up to 10 Gbps capacity at access points to ensure immediate connectivity for arriving delegates.

With nearly all ASEAN committee and ministerial meetings being held in the Philippines this year, the initiative highlights the growing role of robust broadband infrastructure in supporting regional diplomacy and large-scale global events.
