The Esports Foundation (EF) has introduced the ENC Team Rankings and Team Builder platform, two digital tools designed to bring greater transparency and fan engagement to the qualification process for the inaugural Esports Nations Cup (ENC) 2026 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The ENC Team Rankings use performance data from major international esports tournaments to generate country and territory standings across participating game titles. Points earned by players and teams are aggregated into national rankings, which will determine direct invitations to the Esports Nations Cup Finals.

Initially, the rankings are based on projected lineups featuring the highest-scoring players available. Following roster confirmations at the end of May 2026, the rankings will be updated to reflect officially submitted teams and continue evolving based on competitive results until qualification cut-off dates are reached.

Alongside the rankings system, the newly launched Team Builder platform allows fans to create and evaluate their own national team lineups across multiple esports titles. By integrating real-time ranking data, the tool enables users to explore different roster combinations, assess qualification potential, and share their “dream teams” with the wider esports community.

According to Mike McCabe, Deputy CEO and COO of the Esports Foundation, the initiative is designed to create a more transparent and competitive qualification process while giving fans deeper insight into how national teams are formed and selected.

The rankings and Team Builder represent the latest phase in the rollout of the Esports Nations Cup 2026, which has already appointed coaches across more than 100 countries and territories and confirmed a 16-title competitive lineup. The tournament is expected to engage more than 100,000 players through qualification events worldwide.

By combining esports performance analytics, ranking technology, and interactive fan engagement tools, the Esports Foundation is building a data-driven ecosystem that connects players, teams, and supporters throughout the road to ENC 2026.
