Christian Paul Barroga of Ford Ilocos Norte (sixth from left) and Emilio Hermida of Ford Subic (eighth from left) emerged as the winners of the 2026 Ford Skills Olympics in the Service Technician and Service Advisor categories, respectively. Joining them are Ford Philippines Managing Director Pedro Simoes (fifth from left), Ford Customer Service Division–Philippines Director Pushparaj Muthusamy (seventh from left), and members of the Ford Laus Group team.

Ford Philippines has staged its annual Ford Skills Olympics at the new Ford Learning Center, reinforcing its commitment to technical excellence and improved customer service across its nationwide dealer network.

The 2026 competition featured Service Technician and Service Advisor categories, drawing 452 technicians and 154 service advisors from Ford’s 50 dealerships during the selection process. Seven representatives from different dealer groups advanced to the national-level competition.

Christian Paul Barroga of Ford Ilocos Norte won the Service Technician category, followed by Kenneth Dimatulac of Ford Sta. Rosa and Jerick Valencia of Ford Global City. In the Service Advisor category, Emilio Hermida of Ford Subic took first place, followed by Jeffrey Cruz of Ford Manila Bay and Sean Kelvin Guangco of Ford Cebu.

The competition evaluates essential dealership service capabilities, including technical knowledge, accurate diagnostics, repair and maintenance procedures, customer consultation, and communication.

As national champion, Barroga will represent the Philippines at the Ford International Markets Group (IMG) Skills Olympics in Bangkok this November, competing against champions from other Ford markets.

According to Ford Philippines Managing Director Pedro Simoes, the program helps benchmark capabilities, share best practices, and identify opportunities for professional development across the dealer network.

The Ford Learning Center supports this initiative by equipping technicians, service advisors, sales consultants, and dealer customer representatives with the skills and knowledge needed to maintain service quality and strengthen the overall ownership experience.
