Digital wallet platform GCash is boosting its contactless payments ecosystem with the launch of “Tap it, Win it!”, a mall-based promo in partnership with Ayala Malls that transforms everyday family shopping into a rewards-driven fintech experience powered by NFC tap-to-pay technology.

Running from May 7 to June 21, 2026, the campaign encourages users to make in-store payments using GCash Tap to Pay, a contactless feature that allows Android users to complete transactions by simply tapping NFC-enabled smartphones on payment terminals—removing the need for cash, cards, or QR scanning.

NFC payments at the center of mall-based digital commerce

The initiative highlights the growing adoption of NFC-based mobile payments in the Philippines, as fintech platforms push toward faster, more seamless checkout experiences. With GCash Tap to Pay, users can pay for meals, shopping, entertainment, and services in a single tap, streamlining transactions across participating mall merchants.

Every minimum spend of ₱350 using the feature earns users raffle entries for prizes, including up to ₱100,000 in GCash credits and a BYD Seal 5 DM-i hybrid vehicle, reinforcing how fintech platforms are integrating rewards systems into everyday digital payments.

The promo is designed around everyday family mall activities—dining, shopping, wellness visits, and entertainment—turning routine spending into an interactive rewards ecosystem. Users can register through the GCash app and activate NFC settings to participate.
