Philippine telecom and digital services provider Globe Telecom posted ₱42 billion in consolidated gross service revenues for the first quarter of 2026, marking a 5% year-on-year increase driven by strong mobile data demand, expanding fiber adoption, and resilient enterprise ICT services.
Data-driven businesses now account for 91% of Globe’s total service revenues, up from 87% a year earlier, highlighting the company’s accelerating shift toward digital connectivity and technology-led services.
Globe’s mobile segment remained the company’s biggest revenue contributor, generating ₱30 billion during the quarter. Mobile data revenues climbed 11% year-on-year to ₱26.8 billion, supported by rising usage in video streaming, gaming, social media, digital payments, and increasing 5G adoption.
The company reported that mobile data traffic surged 18% to 1,810 petabytes, while average monthly data consumption per subscriber rose to 16 GB. Globe’s mobile subscriber base also grew 8% year-on-year to approximately 67 million users.
Fiber broadband continued to gain momentum, with Globe At Home revenues reaching ₱6.2 billion. Its GFiber Prepaid service surpassed one million subscribers by the end of March 2026, reflecting growing demand for affordable and flexible fiber internet services in the Philippines.
On the enterprise side, Globe’s corporate data business posted ₱5.1 billion in revenues, boosted by a 17% increase in ICT services including cloud, cybersecurity, and business application solutions. The company also highlighted its push toward AI-driven enterprise services and expanded digital infrastructure capabilities.
Digital finance platform Mynt, the parent firm of GCash, continued to be a major growth driver. Globe’s equity share in Mynt rose 8% year-on-year to ₱1.9 billion, accounting for 30% of Globe’s pre-tax net income. GCash maintained its position as the Philippines’ leading finance super app, according to Sensor Tower.
To support increasing data demand, Globe ramped up capital expenditures by 51% year-on-year to ₱12.7 billion during the quarter. The company deployed over 43,000 new fiber-to-the-home lines and rolled out 408 additional 5G sites nationwide, expanding 5G coverage across Metro Manila, Visayas, and Mindanao.
Globe President and CEO Carl Raymond R. Cruz said the company will continue investing in 5G, fiber infrastructure, and digital platforms despite macroeconomic challenges, aiming to deliver long-term sustainable growth through efficient capital allocation and customer-focused innovation.
