HUAWEI is set to introduce the nova 16s Series in the Philippines, featuring AI-powered photography, a 200MP main camera, and 5G connectivity. The lineup includes the HUAWEI nova 16s, priced at a promotional ₱29,999, and the nova 16s Pro at ₱39,999 during the pre-order period.
Positioned as the “King of AI Selfies,” the nova 16s Series combines front and rear True-to-Color camera technology with AI-powered editing tools designed to help users capture and enhance photos with greater ease.
The HUAWEI nova 16s Pro features a 50MP Ultra Portrait Camera and a dedicated multispectral sensor that detects ambient color temperatures to improve color accuracy and preserve natural skin tones. Its front camera also introduces a 0.8x–5x selfie zoom range for group photos and close-up portraits.
On the rear, a 200MP RYYB main camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor and F1.8 aperture is designed to capture detailed images, including in low-light conditions. A dedicated Rear True-to-Color Camera further enhances color reproduction across the rear camera system.
The series also introduces AI Composition for real-time photography guidance, AI Move for repositioning subjects, AI Remove for erasing unwanted objects, AI De-Glare for reducing reflections, and AI Best Expression for selecting favorable facial expressions in group photos.
For performance, the nova 16s Series features 5G connectivity and an IceBridge Heat Dissipation Architecture. Its 7,000mAh battery supports 100W HUAWEI SuperCharge Turbo, which the company says can charge the device to 40% in 15 minutes. The 6.84-inch display offers an adaptive 1–120Hz refresh rate and up to 6,000 nits peak brightness.
The nova 16s Pro also features an aerospace-grade aluminum mid-frame, Kunlun Glass, and a slim 7.1mm profile. Both models run EMUI 16, with features including the Celia AI Assistant and cross-operating-system file transfer for sharing files with Apple devices.
Official pre-orders open on October 30. Buyers can get the nova 16s at ₱29,999 and the nova 16s Pro at ₱39,999, with a limited-time ₱5,000 discount and a gift bundle worth up to ₱14,997.
A separate deposit promotion on the official HUAWEI Online Store runs from October 23 to October 29. A ₱500 deposit qualifies buyers for a ₱6,000 discount. Early-bird vouchers worth ₱5,000 are also available through Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop, subject to availability.
HUAWEI is also launching the #TrueColorsSelfieChallenge on TikTok, starting October 23, with a total prize pool worth ₱2,249,950. The top 50 participants based on video views will each win a HUAWEI nova 16s Pro.
