HUAWEI has introduced its latest flagship devices at its Global Launch Event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, unveiling the HUAWEI Pura 90s Series and the new HUAWEI MatePad Air, both of which are scheduled to arrive in the Philippines soon.
Leading the announcement is the HUAWEI Pura 90s Series, which features a redesigned look and major camera upgrades aimed at strengthening its position as HUAWEI’s flagship imaging smartphone. The device is equipped with a 200MP Ultra Large Sensor Telephoto Camera, an Ultra Lighting HDR Camera, and a 2nd Generation True-to-Colour Camera, complemented by AI-powered photography tools.
The smartphone also introduces several AI imaging features, including AI Composition for intelligent framing, AI Move for repositioning objects within photos, AI De-Glare to reduce reflections, AI Best Expression for improving group portraits, and AI Remove for eliminating unwanted objects. Together, these capabilities are designed to simplify photo editing while enhancing image quality.
Alongside the smartphone, HUAWEI unveiled the MatePad Air, a lightweight tablet measuring 5.3mm thick and featuring an Ultra-clear OLED PaperMatte Display. The tablet combines flagship-level performance with PC-like productivity features and integrated AI tools, allowing users to create content, manage tasks, and work more efficiently in a portable form factor.
According to HUAWEI, the new devices reflect the company’s focus on combining AI-powered creativity, productivity, and connected experiences across its ecosystem.
The HUAWEI Pura 90s Series is expected to launch in the Philippines this August, while the HUAWEI MatePad Air will also be released in the local market in the coming months.
