As the 2026 FIFA World Cup™ prepares to become the largest tournament in football history, Lenovo is introducing an Intelligent Command Center (ICC) designed to help FIFA manage the unprecedented scale and complexity of the global event.

The expanded tournament will feature 48 teams, 104 matches, 16 host cities, and span three countries, creating operational challenges that require real-time coordination across venues.

Serving as the core of FIFA’s Tournament Operations Center (TOC) in Miami, the Lenovo Intelligent Command Center provides a centralized platform that aggregates data from multiple operational systems into a single, real-time dashboard. The system gives tournament officials a unified view of activities across all venues, enabling faster and more informed decision-making.

Unlike previous tournaments that relied on multiple disconnected systems, the ICC consolidates live operational data into one platform, allowing officials to monitor venue activities, identify emerging risks, and coordinate responses more efficiently. Real-time insights and alerts are displayed on large screens within the operations center and delivered directly to authorized personnel through Lenovo tablets and mobile devices.

The platform is designed to improve collaboration among FIFA operations teams by enabling stakeholders across different countries and venues to share updates instantly, detect potential bottlenecks, and respond to disruptions as they unfold.

Lenovo developed the ICC in close collaboration with FIFA, integrating data sources, dashboards, and decision-support tools that provide a consistent and reliable operational picture throughout the tournament.

Beyond live event monitoring, the platform also supports pre-match planning, cross-functional collaboration, and post-event analysis, helping FIFA continuously refine tournament operations throughout the competition.

The Intelligent Command Center highlights how data-driven technologies are transforming the management of large-scale international sporting events, enabling smarter, faster, and more coordinated operations on a global stage.
