Manulife Philippines and iCare HMO have formed a strategic partnership to help businesses provide employees with more integrated healthcare and financial protection through complementary insurance and health benefit offerings.
Under the partnership, Manulife’s annually renewable group life insurance will be available to select iCare HMO corporate customers, supplementing their existing healthcare benefits with additional financial protection.
The companies are also developing integrated employee benefits solutions, including plans to embed group life insurance into iCare HMO prepaid cards starting November 2026. A two-way distribution framework will allow both organizations to reach customers through authorized channels and corporate relationships.
Longer-term plans include exploring coordinated group life insurance, group medical coverage, and broader employee benefits packages for Philippine businesses.
Rahul Hora, president and CEO of Manulife Philippines, said the partnership aims to complement iCare’s healthcare offerings with life insurance protection and explore ways to make relevant solutions more accessible.
Geronimo V. Francisco, president and CEO of iCare, added that combining healthcare and financial protection can expand the options available to corporate clients and address the evolving needs of Filipino employees and their families.
The initiative reflects findings from Manulife’s Asia Care Survey, which found that 88% of Filipino respondents view independence and financial freedom as the legacy they want to leave their loved ones.
