Visa and MOONTON Games are strengthening their partnership to engage Filipino esports fans through exclusive experiences, fan activities, and initiatives supporting emerging talent in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB).

The collaboration was highlighted during the MLBB Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 18, which attracted 20,000 onsite fans and recorded more than 1.49 million peak concurrent viewers (PCV) during its two-month run, according to Esports Charts.

The partnership builds on Visa’s appointment as the global payment partner for the next three editions of the MLBB M Series, covering the M8 World Championship in 2027 through the M10 World Championship in 2029. The M Series is the game’s flagship international esports competition, with the M7 World Championship recording 5.68 million peak concurrent viewers, according to Esports Charts.

During MPL Philippines Season 18, Visa cardholders received early access to purchase the Visa Mythical Glory Day Pass, which offered benefits such as VIP seating, meet-and-greet opportunities with teams and players, and access to the Visa Mythical Glory Lounge.

Visa also sponsored the Alamat Awards, recognizing players in three categories: Visa Most Improved Player, Visa Comeback Player, and Visa Rising Player.

“The success of MPL Philippines Season 18 underscores the incredible passion and energy of the Filipino esports community,” said Nico Leviste, Visa Philippines head of marketing. He added that the partnership enables Visa to create fan experiences at the intersection of culture and commerce.

Lee Viloria, esports business development head for the Philippines at MOONTON Games, said the collaboration celebrates the country’s MLBB community as the game marks its 10th anniversary. The companies aim to bring fans closer to their favorite teams and players while recognizing emerging esports talent.

With the Philippines representing a significant gaming and esports market, the partnership supports MLBB Esports’ global expansion strategy while extending Visa’s presence in gaming and digital entertainment.

Through its gaming partnerships, Visa continues to connect its payment network with fan experiences, while MOONTON Games seeks to strengthen engagement with the communities supporting MLBB esports in the Philippines and beyond.

Visa brought fans closer to the action through gameday experiences, while Visa cardholders enjoyed exclusive seating and meet-and-greet opportunities with top MPL teams through the Visa Mythical Glory Day Pass.
