Philips is positioning biometric authentication and mobile connectivity as key features in home security, showcasing its latest smart locks and safe boxes at a media event at Boudica Megatower.
The company’s Unlocking Quiet Luxury campaign puts the focus on controlling who can enter a home and access valuables, with its smart locks replacing traditional keys with facial recognition, fingerprint scanning, and PIN authentication.

Philips showcases its latest smart door locks, featuring biometric and digital access technologies designed to enhance security, convenience, and everyday home access.
The locks can automatically secure a door when it closes and connect to a mobile app, allowing users to manage access remotely and grant or revoke entry without issuing physical keys.

The Philips smart safe collection takes center stage at the launch, showcasing secure storage solutions equipped with modern access and protection features for safeguarding valuables in contemporary homes and offices.
Philips’ smart safe boxes similarly combine fingerprint and PIN access with fireproof and anti-theft protection. Connected alerts notify users through their smartphones when the safe detects attempted intrusion or unusual vibration.
The technology was demonstrated through a simulated home environment featuring an entryway, bedroom, and closet. Media participants were able to test the biometric systems and security mechanisms firsthand.
An interactive “Who’s on the List” challenge also demonstrated the safes’ tamper-alarm and access-control capabilities, with participants attempting to unlock a box using a code before a registered fingerprint opened it.
The lineup includes products designed for both residential and office environments, reflecting the growing integration of biometric authentication, connected devices, and real-time mobile alerts into physical security.
