PLDT Inc. highlighted customer-centricity, strategic technology investment, and ecosystem partnerships as enterprises navigate digital transformation and the accelerating adoption of artificial intelligence (AI).
Speaking at the inaugural ACC CXO Forum in Hong Kong, PLDT executives discussed how businesses are rethinking technology investments, modernizing infrastructure, and strengthening partnerships to remain resilient in an increasingly digital economy.
The forum, organized by PLDT Global, brought together technology decision-makers, enterprise executives, and industry leaders to examine how organizations can create long-term value as technology environments become more complex.
For PLDT, the shift also reflects its evolution from a traditional telecommunications provider into an integrated digital services partner, bringing connectivity, wireless, cloud, cybersecurity, and other digital services into a more unified customer experience.

“Customer is king. The way we engage customers has evolved significantly over the years,” said Leo I. Posadas, PLDT SVP and Treasurer and PLDT Global CFO.
He said the company is moving toward a model that provides customers with “one customer view” and an integrated approach to their technology requirements.
Procurement takes on a strategic role
The forum also highlighted the changing role of enterprise procurement. PLDT Chief Procurement Officer Louella F. Calixtro said procurement is increasingly involved in investment decisions, innovation, resilience, and long-term business value rather than focusing solely on cost savings.

“The conversation has shifted from choosing the supplier with the lowest cost to identifying the partner that can support you throughout your business journey,” Calixtro said.
She emphasized the importance of resilient technology ecosystems as organizations deal with supply-chain disruptions, rapid technology shifts, and growing demands for business continuity.
The discussions underscored the growing importance of integrated technology services and strategic partnerships as enterprises adopt AI and modernize their infrastructure.
