Schneider Electric is accelerating the adoption of smart energy technologies in the Visayas and Mindanao, highlighting electrification, digitalization, and automation as key pillars for building resilient infrastructure amid rising energy demand.

During Innovation Day Philippines 2026: Powering Progress through Future-Ready Industries in Cebu, the global energy technology company brought together government officials, business leaders, and industry stakeholders to discuss how intelligent energy systems can support the regions’ rapid economic and infrastructure growth.

Schneider Electric said investments in major infrastructure projects, including new transport facilities and industrial developments, are increasing the need for reliable and efficient energy systems. The company also pointed to tightening power reserves in the Visayas and Mindanao, underscoring the importance of technologies that improve energy visibility, operational efficiency, and grid resilience.

The event showcased digital solutions for energy management, automation, and grid modernization that enable organizations to optimize electricity use, reduce operational costs, and strengthen business continuity. Schneider Electric emphasized that sustainability has become a strategic business priority, driven by rising electricity demand, digital transformation, and evolving global supply chains.

Industry discussions featured representatives from the Energy Regulatory Commission, AboitizPower, Ayala Property Management Corporation, UnionBank, the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and local government units, who explored collaborative approaches to modernizing energy infrastructure across the two regions.

Schneider Electric said stronger partnerships between the public and private sectors will be essential to accelerating the country’s energy transition and supporting long-term economic growth through intelligent, future-ready infrastructure.
