TCL has introduced its latest A400 Series QD-MiniLED TVs in the Philippines, highlighting how next-generation display technology can transform home entertainment into an immersive art experience. The launch took place during the “Heritage in Every Frame” event at Centro de Turismo Intramuros in Manila, where technology and Filipino culture converged through digitally animated masterpieces of National Artist Fernando Amorsolo.
The TCL A400 Series, consisting of the A400M and A400 Pro models, combines premium QD-MiniLED display technology with a gallery-inspired design, allowing the television to function as both a smart entertainment device and an elegant centerpiece for modern homes. The launch coincided with the country’s 128th Independence Day celebration, reinforcing the connection between innovation and national heritage.

“The TCL A400 Series represents our vision of what home entertainment can become, not simply a device for viewing content, but a centerpiece that enhances the living space even when not in use,” said TCL CEO Peter Chen.
Cutting-Edge Display Technology
At the event, TCL demonstrated the A400 Series’ advanced display capabilities by digitally showcasing Fernando Amorsolo’s iconic paintings with enhanced color accuracy, contrast, and fine detail. Through high-definition animation, visitors experienced classic works such as Carabao Riding in Sunset, Noonday Meal, Tinikling, Dalagang Bukid, The Blind Man, Fruit Market, and Bataan in a new immersive format.

Digital animator Mark Cañega led the remastering of the artworks, carefully preserving Amorsolo’s signature lighting, brushwork, and warm color palette while adding subtle movement that transformed each painting into a living digital canvas.

Visual artist Mark Cañega discusses the digital remastering process behind the iconic masterpieces of National Artist Fernando Amorsolo, explaining how modern animation techniques were used to preserve the artist’s signature lighting, colors, and textures while bringing his timeless paintings to life on the TCL A400 Series QD-MiniLED TVs.
According to Cañega, the goal was to create “a moving canvas rather than a cartoon,” ensuring every animated frame faithfully reflected the texture and emotion of the original oil paintings.
Art Gallery Mode Enhances Home Living
Guests also explored one of the A400 Series’ standout features—its Art Gallery Mode—which allows users to display artwork when the television is not being used, transforming the screen into a decorative piece that complements home interiors.
Celebrity guests Heaven Peralejo, Jenny Yeo, and Miss Universe Philippines 2024 Chelsea Manalo shared their experiences with the new TVs, praising the realistic image quality and seamless integration of art and technology.
