Boomi has introduced its Agent Control Plane, an AI-native infrastructure designed to help enterprises deploy and manage AI agents while maintaining control over security, data, governance, and costs.
The vendor- and model-neutral platform serves as a control point between AI agents, models, applications, and core business systems. It provides centralized visibility into agent activity, governs access to enterprise data, and can enforce controls such as identity verification, rate limits, and human approval for high-risk transactions.
Boomi said the Agent Control Plane can operate across public clouds, private virtual clouds (VPCs), and on-premises environments, giving organizations greater flexibility to meet data-sovereignty requirements and keep sensitive intellectual property within controlled environments.
The platform also addresses the growing challenge of AI cost management. Its governance capabilities are designed to monitor agent activity, help prevent token-cost overruns, and provide greater financial accountability for AI workloads.
Through Boomi Connect, AI agents can securely access enterprise systems through governed MCP servers and tools, with more than 1,000 pre-built MCP servers and tools available. The platform also supports bring-your-own models and specialized small language models.
Other capabilities include data lineage and business-context grounding, natural-language creation of multi-system workflows through Boomi Orchestrate, and emerging agent trust-scoring capabilities.
The announcement comes as enterprises increasingly move AI agents from experimentation into production, creating new requirements for security, auditability, cost controls, and operational governance. Boomi said its platform is designed to provide the infrastructure needed to scale agentic AI without sacrificing enterprise control.
Boomi said more than 30,000 customers use its platform, which processes more than 200 billion messages per quarter and holds more than 16 security certifications.
