Epson is helping businesses digitize and manage paper-based processes with Epson Document Capture Pro, software designed to create structured scanning workflows using compatible Epson DS series scanners.
The solution enables organizations to configure up to 30 customizable scan jobs, depending on the device, allowing teams to automate recurring document-capture tasks and apply consistent scanning settings.
A key technology is optical character recognition (OCR), which converts text from scanned documents into searchable digital information. OCR can also transform captured content into editable Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files, helping organizations reuse information without manually recreating documents.
Document Capture Pro supports common formats including JPEG, PDF, TIFF, PNG, DOCX, XLSX, and PPTX, subject to device and operating-system compatibility. For organizations processing high volumes of paperwork, the software can automatically separate scanned documents using conditions such as blank pages, barcodes, OCR, form types, file size, and patch codes.
Captured documents can also be routed to compatible cloud storage platforms such as Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive, connecting physical document capture with existing digital workflows.
“Epson develops document solutions that help make these processes easier to manage and help employees access the information they need,” said Noelle Gonzalez, head of marketing at Epson Philippines Corporation.
As businesses continue their digital transformation, tools such as Document Capture Pro provide a bridge between paper-based records and digital systems, helping reduce repetitive manual work while making information easier to organize, search, and share.
