Epson Philippines showcased its sustainability initiatives and technology-driven environmental strategy during Fusion 17, its annual media engagement event held at Discovery Samal.

Centered on the theme “ECOPRINT,” this year’s gathering highlighted how sustainability is integrated into Epson’s product development, business operations, and community partnerships as part of its long-term Engineered for Good vision and Engineered Future 2035 strategy.
During the event, Epson executives discussed how the company’s technologies are designed to help organizations improve operational efficiency while reducing environmental impact. Key innovations include Epson’s Heat-Free printing technology and energy-efficient printing solutions, which lower power consumption and resource use compared to conventional printing systems.
Epson also shared progress on its internal sustainability programs. In fiscal year 2025, the company collected more than 1,100 kilograms of plastic waste and over 1,100 kilograms of shredded paper through recycling and upcycling initiatives, including its employee-led “Trash to Treasure” campaign.
Beyond its corporate operations, Epson highlighted collaborations aimed at addressing environmental challenges. Among these is its partnership with WWF-Philippines in Pio Duran, Albay, which focuses on strengthening local waste management systems through plastic recycling, waste collection improvements, and community capacity-building programs.
The company also reported on the expansion of its Corporate Waste Collection Program, which helps channel partners properly collect and recycle used consumables and electronic waste materials. Initially launched in Davao, the initiative has since expanded to Cebu.

According to Epson Philippines President and Director Masako Kusama, sustainability remains a core part of the company’s daily operations, guiding technology development, business practices, and stakeholder engagement.
Now in its 17th year, Fusion continues to serve as a platform for dialogue on innovation, sustainability, and collaboration, reinforcing Epson’s commitment to creating technologies that support both business productivity and environmental responsibility.
