Regional competition backed by Epson Southeast Asia and Epson Australia showcases the creativity and technical expertise of Southeast Asian panoramic photographers.
Epson has announced the winners of the 17th Epson International Pano Awards, recognizing outstanding panoramic photography worldwide and highlighting Southeast Asian talent in visual storytelling.
Wutimet Bunyasirisith, a Bangkok-based landscape, fine art, and travel photographer, won the Southeast Asia Open Photographer of the Year 2026 title. His winning image, The Emerald Arch Over Lofoten, Norway, captures the Northern Lights forming a full arch around a mountain peak, reflected across a frozen coastline.
Bunyasirisith explained that the aurora’s immense scale could not be captured in a single frame, prompting him to create a panorama that revealed the complete formation.
Now in its third consecutive year of joint major sponsorship by Epson Southeast Asia and Epson Australia, the competition showcases photographic techniques that combine artistic vision with technical precision.
Epson also highlighted its imaging technology for professional photographers, including SureColor professional photo printers designed to reproduce detailed images with accurate colors and archival print durability. The company also provides ultra-slim projectors for visual presentation.
The awards underscore the role of professional imaging and printing technologies in preserving and presenting high-resolution panoramic photography.
