Ford Philippines employees take part in community activities at Gawad Kalinga PNOC Olaes Village in Cavite, repainting facilities and preparing and distributing Bayong ng Pag-asa packages containing food essentials and vegetables for more than 120 families as part of the company’s annual Global Caring Month.
Ford Philippines brought together employees, dealers, and partners for its annual Global Caring Month, organizing community outreach programs focused on education, Indigenous Peoples, elderly care, and support for vulnerable children and families.
In partnership with Gawad Kalinga, the American Chamber Foundation, and the Cartwheel Foundation, the initiatives highlighted Ford’s commitment to community development and social welfare.
One of the key activities supported outdoor classroom projects for six Indigenous Peoples communities in Davao City, in partnership with the Philippine Eagle Foundation and Ford Davao. Volunteers participated in storytelling, arts and crafts, birdwatching, cultural discussions, and entrepreneurial coaching.
In Cavite, more than 40 Ford Philippines employees joined a bayanihan activity at Gawad Kalinga PNOC Olaes Village. They repainted houses, schools, livelihood structures, a basketball court, and a multi-purpose hall. Volunteers also prepared food and vegetable packages for more than 120 families.
Other initiatives included providing essential supplies and companionship to elderly women at Tahanan ng Mahal na Ina ng Guadalupe, supporting children at the Rev. Fr. Vincenzo Idà Children’s Home in Batangas, and conducting meal preparation, tutoring, and psychosocial support activities for Indigenous children in Parañaque through the Cartwheel Foundation.
Ford employees also visited Little Angels Home Inc. and Munting Tahanan ng Nazareth, distributing essential supplies, clothing, and vitamins to children with special needs while participating in recreational activities.
“Global Caring Month is an opportunity for us to come together as a Ford family and reaffirm our commitment to giving back to the communities around us,” said Kent Primor, director of Government and Corporate Affairs at Ford Philippines.
The company said its community support initiatives will continue beyond September, extending its efforts to help communities and create lasting social impact.
