As more Filipinos turn to digital financial services, GCash is highlighting how mobile-based savings and wealth-management tools can help consumers manage money for everyday needs, emergencies, and long-term goals.
TransUnion’s Q2 2026 Consumer Pulse Study found that 49% of Filipino consumers increased their emergency savings, while Sun Life’s 2026 Financial Resilience Index identified managing daily expenses as the top financial priority for more than half of Filipinos.
Finance content creator Jax Reyes is helping consumers identify their saving habits through four profiles: the “May Naitabi” accidental saver, “May Huhugutin” rainy-day saver, “May Pinaglalaanan” goal-setter, and “May Pinaghahandaan” future thinker.
The campaign encourages users to use dedicated digital accounts rather than keeping savings mixed with everyday spending. Through GSave, users can set aside funds for different financial goals, with eligible high-yield savings offering rates of up to 3.5%. For longer-term funds, UNO Time Deposit offers rates of up to 5.5% per annum, according to the campaign.

GCash is also running its Shake It Up promotion throughout October. Users can open the GCash app daily and tap eligible products such as GSave or GFunds to receive a free daily shake and a raffle entry for a chance to win ₱10,000, along with instant shopping vouchers.
Users who save or invest at least ₱1,000 in eligible Wealth Management products can also earn one raffle entry per ₱1,000 deposited, subject to the promotion’s terms. Prizes include a Yamaha Aerox scooter from October 1 to 15 and a ₱500,000 cash grand prize from October 16 to 31.
The initiative highlights how mobile financial platforms are evolving beyond payments, giving consumers digital tools for saving, investing, and managing financial goals in one ecosystem.
