iCare HMO Philippines has received two major honors at the 2026 Insurance Asia Awards, recognizing its use of artificial intelligence and strategic healthcare partnerships to improve access to medical services across the country.
The health maintenance organization was named AI Initiative of the Year – Philippines for its Telemed7 platform and Strategic Partnership of the Year – Philippines for its Super Preferred Clinics (SPC) program, highlighting its technology-driven approach to healthcare delivery.
Telemed7 leverages AI to simplify medical consultations by automating appointment scheduling through Viber and connecting members with licensed physicians in as little as seven minutes. The platform reduces waiting times and enables faster access to healthcare regardless of a member’s location, demonstrating how AI can streamline routine healthcare processes and enhance patient experience.
Complementing its digital health strategy is the Super Preferred Clinics program, a nationwide network of 157 clinics established through partnerships with The Medical City Clinics, Healthway QualiMed, and Hi-Precision Diagnostics. The initiative expands access to primary care without requiring iCare to operate its own clinics, allowing members to receive consultations that do not count against their consultation benefit limits.
The recognition reflects the growing role of AI, telemedicine, and collaborative healthcare ecosystems in addressing rising healthcare costs and improving access to preventive care. As employers seek more efficient employee health benefits, digital health platforms and provider partnerships are becoming key enablers of accessible and sustainable healthcare.
Since its transformation under Singapore-based Value-Based Healthcare, iCare HMO Philippines has expanded investments in digital health technologies, provider networks, and member experience, reinforcing its strategy of combining innovation with accessible healthcare services.
