Kia Philippines, a subsidiary of ACMobility, has officially unveiled the all-new Kia EV5 at the 2026 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), marking a significant step forward in the country’s shift toward sustainable and electrified mobility.

Designed for modern Filipino drivers, the Kia EV5 enters the compact electric SUV segment with a bold exterior, spacious premium interior, and long driving range—offering a balance of style, utility, and efficiency for those transitioning to electric mobility.

ACMobility CEO Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala highlighted the role of ecosystem development in accelerating EV adoption, emphasizing the Philippine EV Spine as a nationwide charging backbone that supports seamless electric vehicle ownership. He noted that the EV5 reflects the company’s commitment to combining global innovation with local mobility needs.

The EV5 features Kia’s “Opposites United” design language, highlighted by a Digital Tiger Nose grille, Star Map LED lighting, and an aerodynamic profile. Inside, it offers a dual 12.3-inch display system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with premium comfort features and a Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function for added utility.

Safety is reinforced with a 5-star ANCAP rating and Kia Drive Wise advanced driver assistance systems, including Lane Keep Assist, Forward Collision Avoidance, Blind Spot Monitoring, and Surround View Monitor, alongside standard stability and braking technologies.

Performance-wise, the EV5 delivers 217 PS and 310 Nm of torque, with two battery options: an 88.1kWh variant offering up to 550 km of range and a 64.2kWh variant with up to 400 km.

To support EV adoption, ACMobility also introduced a Home Charging Package that includes a free home charger, installation subsidy, warranty coverage, and charging credits for use at its EC Charging Stations.

Kia Philippines Managing Director Jay Lopez described the EV5 as a bridge between innovation and everyday practicality, making electrified mobility more accessible to Filipino drivers.

The Kia EV5 is priced from Php 2,298,000 for the GL variant and Php 2,698,000 for the GLS variant. It comes with an 8-year or 160,000-kilometer battery warranty and a 5-year or 160,000-kilometer vehicle warranty.

The EV5 is now on display at the Kia booth at MIAS 2026 until April 12, with test drives available. It will also be offered through authorized Kia EV dealerships nationwide.
