Manulife Philippines and its affiliated organizations launched their first-ever Impact Week, bringing together more than 1,200 employees in a large-scale volunteer initiative focused on financial literacy, environmental sustainability, digital education, and community well-being.

The week-long program generated over 4,700 volunteer hours across multiple projects nationwide, reinforcing Manulife’s commitment to social impact and community development. Participating organizations included Manulife Philippines, Manulife China Bank Life Assurance Corporation, Manulife Investment Management and Trust Corporation, Manulife Business Processing Services, and Manulife IT Delivery Center.

Among the key initiatives was the expansion of the Peso Smart Pinoy financial literacy program in Infanta, Quezon, helping community members improve financial knowledge and resilience. Volunteers also partnered with environmental groups to plant 2,500 mangrove seedlings, contributing to a broader reforestation effort that has planted more than 31,000 trees since 2023.

Technology-driven education also played a major role during Impact Week. Manulife IT Delivery Center conducted its Code4Future program, introducing coding and digital problem-solving skills to young learners and helping build digital confidence among underserved communities.

Additional activities focused on food security, livelihood support, and access to clean water. Volunteers packed over 17,700 rice meals, assembled 150 water filtration kits, rescued surplus food, and supported community livelihood projects.

The initiative aligns with the goals of the Manulife Longevity Institute, which promotes healthier, more financially secure, and resilient communities through research, innovation, and community investment. Manulife said the program reflects its broader strategy of combining employee engagement, social impact, and sustainable development to create long-term value for communities across the Philippines.
