Salesforce is expanding access to artificial intelligence for Philippine small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) with the introduction of Agentforce in Salesforce Suites and Slack CRM, designed to help teams automate routine tasks and manage customer relationships more efficiently.
The move comes as SMEs continue to face productivity challenges despite accounting for 99.6% of businesses in the Philippines. According to data cited by Salesforce from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, SMEs contribute around 40% of the country’s GDP, while digital tool adoption remains relatively low at 20%.
Agentforce is now embedded within Salesforce’s Free, Starter, and Pro Suites, enabling businesses to access AI-powered capabilities without additional setup or cost. The platform allows users to instantly summarize customer records, generate personalized emails, monitor customer activity, and automate administrative tasks directly within their CRM environment.

For Starter and Pro Suite users, Salesforce also offers an Employee Agent—an AI assistant that can provide contextual information, draft communications, and automatically log activities using conversational commands.
Key features include AI-generated meeting summaries, personalized customer follow-up emails, and automated record updates, helping teams spend less time on manual work and more time engaging with customers.
Salesforce said the AI tools are powered by Agentforce 360, its platform that connects customer data, employees, and AI capabilities while maintaining security and governance controls. The company emphasized that customer data remains protected within the Salesforce ecosystem without requiring external AI tools.

In addition, Salesforce has introduced Slack CRM, which brings customer relationship management functions directly into Slack. The solution allows teams to create and update contacts, track leads and deals, and log customer interactions from within Slack conversations.
Built on Salesforce infrastructure, Slack CRM is designed to support business growth by enabling organizations to start with basic customer management functions and later expand into more advanced CRM capabilities without migrating data.
“SMBs are the backbone of the country’s economy. Agentic AI provides these organizations the means to make exponential impact without the time and effort typically required for enterprise-scale transformation,” said Vernon Cheo, Head of Emerging Small and Medium Business at Salesforce ASEAN.
The launch reflects the growing role of AI-powered business software in helping Philippine SMEs improve productivity, streamline operations, and accelerate digital transformation while operating with limited resources.
