Samsung Electronics has unveiled the Galaxy A27 5G, expanding its Galaxy A series with a smartphone that delivers enhanced performance, a more immersive display, and a broader suite of artificial intelligence (AI) features aimed at improving everyday mobile experiences.
Building on the Galaxy A26 5G, the new device introduces upgrades in display technology, processing power, mobile photography, and on-device AI while continuing Samsung’s commitment to long-term software support.
Bigger Display, Slimmer Design
The Galaxy A27 5G features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, providing smoother scrolling, gaming, and video playback.
Samsung has also adopted an upgraded Infinity-O display, replacing the previous notch with a punch-hole front camera design that reduces visual distractions while maximizing screen space. The smartphone measures just 7.8mm thick, offering a slimmer profile designed for comfortable all-day use.
Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 Powers Everyday Performance
Under the hood, the Galaxy A27 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 Mobile Platform, delivering faster app responsiveness, smoother multitasking, and improved gaming performance.
Samsung says the chipset’s upgraded GPU enhances graphics rendering, while faster memory improves data transfer speeds and overall power efficiency, enabling a more reliable daily smartphone experience.
The device also introduces a 12MP front-facing camera capable of capturing improved dynamic range and more natural-looking selfies across different lighting conditions.
Expanded AI Features
Samsung continues to bring advanced AI capabilities to its midrange smartphones through the Galaxy A27 5G.
Among the latest additions is an upgraded Circle to Search with Google, which now supports multi-object recognition, allowing users to search for several items in an image simultaneously, including clothing and accessories. Users can also virtually try on outfits directly from supported search results.
The smartphone also enhances Object Eraser, delivering cleaner and more natural-looking image edits by removing unwanted objects with greater precision.
For productivity, Voice Transcription within the Voice Recorder app can now translate speech while generating transcripts in 22 languages, simplifying multilingual meetings and note-taking.
Samsung has also expanded support for AI assistants, allowing users to choose between Google Gemini, Perplexity, and Bixby. The updated Bixby functions as a conversational device agent capable of controlling phone settings and features using natural language commands.
Long-Term Software and Security Support
The Galaxy A27 5G continues Samsung’s focus on device longevity by offering up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades, alongside six years of security updates from the device’s global launch.
Security is reinforced through Samsung Knox and Knox Vault, providing hardware-backed protection for sensitive user information and helping safeguard personal data against evolving cyber threats.
Availability and Launch Offers
The Galaxy A27 5G will be available in the Philippines starting July 10 through Samsung.com, Samsung Experience Stores, authorized retailers, and Samsung’s official Lazada and Shopee flagship stores.
The smartphone will be offered in Black, Blue, and Light Pink color options.
Customers purchasing the Galaxy A27 5G until September 15, 2026, can enjoy launch offers worth up to ₱3,639, including a ₱1,500 discount, a free travel adapter, and a Jisulife portable fan, subject to promotional terms.
