Stratpoint Technologies has launched the Aurora Women in Tech Awards, recognizing women leaders and allies driving innovation, inclusion, and leadership across the Philippine technology sector.
Held on June 19, 2026, at the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel, the inaugural awards serve as the flagship event of Stratpoint’s #FastForwardHER initiative and reinforce the company’s commitment as a signatory to the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs).
The awards featured two recognition tracks: Beacons, honoring outstanding women across the broader technology ecosystem, and Luminaries, celebrating Stratpoint employees nominated by their colleagues.

Among the Beacons awardees were Jennifer “Jek” de Chavez-Hermida of Cebu Pacific Air as Woman Tech Leader – Ecosystem, Michelle Alarcon of the Analytics and Artificial Intelligence Association of the Philippines for Women in Tech – Access & Inclusion, and Dr. Elenita Caparino of Bulacan State University – Sarmiento Campus as Woman Tech Educator of the Year.
Within Stratpoint, the Luminaries honors recognized Marge Fernando, AI/Labs Business Unit Head, as Woman Tech Leader of the Year; Kristine Joyce Alera-Verances as Emerging Woman Tech Leader; Jemima Villanueva as Woman Technologist of Excellence; Janeil Francesca Vino for Tech Innovation & Transformation; and Sonny Carlos as Kasangga Ally for Women in Tech.
In her keynote address, UN Women Philippines Country Programme Director Ma. Rosalyn Mesina emphasized that advancing women in technology requires sustained commitment across the private sector. Stratpoint CEO MR Dela Cruz added that supporting women in tech has become a strategic investment for the company, while Chairman Paco Sandejas highlighted diversity as a key driver of innovation and stronger organizations.
The Aurora Women in Tech Awards underscore the growing importance of inclusive leadership in shaping the future of the Philippine technology industry.
