TP in the Philippines is strengthening its push toward AI-enabled workforce development as it celebrates 30 years of operations in the country, highlighting the evolving role of the IT-BPM sector in the Philippines’ digital economy.
Formerly known as Teleperformance, the company said its long-term strategy focuses on building a future-ready workforce equipped with digital, leadership, and innovation skills needed for higher-value global services. Since launching operations in 1996, TP has expanded to 26 sites nationwide with around 60,000 employees, supporting the country’s rise as a global business services hub.

TP Operations Senior Vice President Joy Raymundo’s journey reflects over a decade of growth, leadership, and opportunity at TP in the Philippines. Starting as an Account Manager at TP’s Aura office in Taguig, she has steadily risen through the ranks, showcasing the company’s strong culture of talent development and career progression.
According to Rahul Jolly, the next phase of the BPM industry will depend on the balance between artificial intelligence, digital innovation, and human empathy.
TP reported that nearly 1,000 employees were promoted in 2025 as part of its leadership and talent development initiatives. The company also continues to invest in digital upskilling programs designed to prepare Filipino workers for increasingly technology-driven and complex roles in the global market.

Beyond Metro Manila, TP said approximately 38% of its workforce is now based outside the National Capital Region, supporting regional economic growth and workforce decentralization. Its newly launched Davao Uprise site in early 2026 further expands employment opportunities in Mindanao.
The company also highlighted the impact of its inclusive hiring initiatives, including the TP Skills Training to Employment Program (TP STEP), which provides technical and soft skills training for underserved communities. In Pasig City, the initiative achieved a 78.33% hiring rate, helping bridge workforce gaps and improve access to formal employment.
As the Philippines strengthens its position in the global digital services sector, TP said it will continue investing in AI-driven innovation, workforce transformation, and regional expansion to support long-term national growth.
