Bayad has achieved the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) version 4.0.1 certification, strengthening its cybersecurity framework and reinforcing its commitment to protecting the Philippines’ growing digital payment ecosystem.
The certification, recognized as the latest global benchmark for payment data security, validates Bayad’s efforts to safeguard transactions, customer information, and payment platforms amid increasing cyber threats targeting digital financial services.
The milestone was marked through a certificate presentation ceremony at Bayad’s headquarters at Rockwell Business Center in Ortigas, attended by Bayad executives, employees, and representatives from SISA, the company’s PCI Security Standards Council-accredited Qualified Security Assessor (QSA).
The latest PCI DSS certification covers Bayad Integrated Payments (BIP), Bayad Financial Services (BFA), and Bayad Express (MPAY/OPP), expanding the scope of its certified payment platforms. The achievement enables Bayad to continue providing secure and compliant payment solutions for enterprise clients, financial institutions, government agencies, merchants, and channel partners.
Bayad completed its latest PCI DSS assessment in approximately three months, improving on the previous four-month assessment cycle. The company attributed the faster completion to stronger internal collaboration, enhanced security controls, and continued investments in operational excellence.

PCI DSS version 4.0.1 introduces stronger security requirements designed to help organizations proactively manage emerging cyber risks and improve protection of payment card data. For Bayad, adopting the updated standard reflects its focus on building resilient payment infrastructure and advancing secure digital innovation.
The certification was independently validated by SISA, a global cybersecurity company specializing in digital payment security, confirming Bayad’s compliance with internationally recognized standards for securing payment environments.
As digital transactions continue to expand, Bayad said it remains focused on strengthening cybersecurity measures to support a safer, more resilient, and more inclusive digital payments ecosystem in the Philippines.
