Converge ICT Solutions Inc. has officially joined the IT & Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) as a Platinum Member, strengthening efforts to prepare the country’s business process outsourcing (BPO) industry for the rapid adoption of artificial intelligence (AI).

(L-R) Grace Jarin-Castillo, Senior Vice President and Head of Global Business Sales & Marketing at Converge; Dennis Anthony Uy, Converge Co-Founder and CEO; Jack Madrid, President and CEO of the IT & Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP); and Celeste Ilagan, IBPAP Chief Operating Officer, during the contract signing ceremony formalizing Converge ICT Solutions Inc.’s membership as an IBPAP Platinum Member, reinforcing the company’s commitment to advancing AI readiness, digital transformation, and workforce development in the Philippine IT-BPM industry.
During the membership ceremony, Converge CEO and Co-Founder Dennis Anthony Uy emphasized the need to upskill the Philippine workforce to capitalize on AI-driven opportunities while leveraging the company’s nationwide digital infrastructure to support the sector’s transformation.
Uy said AI is reshaping industries by automating repetitive tasks, making workforce development critical for the Philippines to remain globally competitive. He stressed that the future of the country’s BPO industry lies in higher-value, knowledge-intensive services that require advanced digital and AI skills rather than routine support functions.
The partnership also opens opportunities for collaboration between Converge and IBPAP in promoting AI preparedness, digital skills development, and industry innovation.
Welcoming Converge as its newest Platinum Member, IBPAP President and CEO Jack Madrid highlighted the company’s role during the pandemic in maintaining connectivity that enabled the IT-BPM sector to continue operations and create jobs despite global disruptions.
IBPAP represents more than 400 companies across the Philippine IT and Business Process Management (IT-BPM) sector and works with six industry associations spanning animation, software development, game development, healthcare information management, customer experience, and global capability centers.
According to IBPAP, the Philippine IT-BPM industry employed 1.9 million workers and generated US$40 billion in export revenues in 2025, contributing more than 8% of the country’s gross domestic product (GDP).
Through the partnership, Converge aims to help equip the country’s nearly two million IT-BPM professionals with the digital and AI capabilities needed to sustain the Philippines’ position as one of the world’s leading outsourcing destinations.
