Delegates from Geely Motor Philippines joined over 1,000 global partners in Hangzhou, China, for the 2026 Geely Auto International Business Partner Conference, where the automaker highlighted its AI-powered manufacturing systems and long-term global expansion strategy.

Organized under the “One Geely” framework, the event outlined the company’s 2030 roadmap, targeting more than 6.5 million annual vehicle sales, a top-five global ranking, and a 75% shift toward new energy vehicles (NEVs). The strategy reflects Geely’s push to integrate advanced technologies—including artificial intelligence, automation, and connected vehicle systems—into both production and product development.

According to Alex Nan, the company’s globalization model is evolving beyond traditional exports into a collaborative “World+” ecosystem, where international markets like the Philippines play a key role in growth and innovation.

A major highlight for delegates was a tour of Geely’s high-tech facilities, including the Safety Centre in Ningbo, a 45,000-square-meter complex equipped for advanced crash testing, battery validation, and cybersecurity simulations for connected vehicles. The facility underscores the increasing role of software and digital systems in vehicle safety and performance.

Participants also visited the Zeekr Intelligent Factory in Hangzhou Bay, a next-generation production hub that integrates 5G connectivity, AI-driven automation, and robotics. Equipped with 7,200-ton die-casting machines and over 700 flexible welding robots, the factory demonstrates how smart manufacturing is transforming electric vehicle production at scale.

These technologies support Geely’s broader transition toward intelligent electric mobility, where vehicles are not only powered by electricity but also enhanced by AI, connectivity, and data-driven systems.

For Philippine partners, the experience provided deeper insight into the infrastructure and innovation behind the Geely brand—critical in building customer trust in areas such as financing, after-sales service, and long-term reliability.

As Geely accelerates toward its 2030 goals, markets like the Philippines are positioned as integral nodes in its global network, benefiting from shared technology platforms and a unified approach to next-generation mobility.
