The Philippines has secured a place in the inaugural League of Legends tournament at the Esports Nations Cup 2026 (ENC), following a successful run in the Southeast Asia/Oceania regional qualifiers.

Organized by the Esports Foundation, the global nation-based esports competition will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from November 2 to 29, 2026, bringing together top national teams from around the world.

Team Philippines earned one of two qualification slots available in the Southeast Asia/Oceania region after overcoming an early setback in the upper bracket. The squad advanced through the lower bracket with victories over Guam, Australia, and Singapore to secure its place in the main event.

Representing the Philippines in Riyadh are Relhia (Top Laner), Devoured (Jungler), Cherb (Mid Laner), Dawn (ADC), and Cresho (Support). Their qualification marks a significant achievement for the country’s League of Legends esports scene as they prepare to compete against some of the world’s strongest national teams.

A total of 32 teams will participate in the ENC 2026 League of Legends tournament. Sixteen teams received direct invitations through the ENC Rankings, while 15 additional teams qualified through regional tournaments and the host nation slot awarded to Saudi Arabia. One remaining Wildcard Solidarity slot will be announced later this year.

Other countries and territories that advanced through regional qualifiers include Hong Kong (China), Mongolia, Lithuania, Romania, Germany, Belgium, Algeria, Tunisia, Mexico, Guatemala, Chile, Peru, New Zealand, and Saudi Arabia.

The League of Legends competition will begin on November 21 with a 24-team Play-In stage featuring qualifier teams and lower-ranked invited nations. Successful teams will advance to the Group Stage, where they will face the top-ranked invited countries before competing in a single-elimination playoff bracket leading to the Grand Final on November 29.

The Esports Nations Cup aims to establish a new international platform for nation-based esports competition, showcasing elite talent across multiple regions and strengthening the global esports ecosystem.
