PLDT Global reported a 30% year-on-year revenue increase in the first half of 2026, driven by growing demand for international bandwidth, subsea cable capacity, and digital infrastructure supporting artificial intelligence (AI), cloud services, and enterprise workloads.
The company, the international arm of PLDT, provides cross-border connectivity linking the Philippines with major digital hubs and supporting enterprises, technology companies, and international telecommunications carriers.
To address rising demand for network capacity and reliability, PLDT Global continues to expand its international infrastructure footprint, leveraging PLDT’s participation in the Asia Direct Cable (ADC) subsea cable system. The system strengthens connections among key Asian economies while providing additional capacity and route diversity.
Across Southeast Asia, investments by hyperscalers, data center operators, and network providers are increasing demand for international bandwidth, interconnection services, colocation facilities, and resilient networks. These infrastructure capabilities are becoming increasingly important as businesses expand cloud operations and adopt AI-powered applications.
PLDT Global’s growth also reflects broader momentum within PLDT Enterprise, which recorded ₱24.8 billion in revenue during the first half of 2026. Corporate Data and ICT services contributed ₱18.4 billion, supported by business investments in cloud, cybersecurity, managed services, and digital transformation.
“The continued expansion of cloud services, AI applications, and digital platforms is increasing the need for reliable international connectivity,” said Albert V. Villa-Real, president and CEO of PLDT Global. He added that the company remains focused on infrastructure investments and partnerships to support customers’ digital transformation initiatives across markets.
As data flows increasingly across borders, international connectivity infrastructure is playing a critical role in enabling digital services, cross-border commerce, and technology adoption. PLDT Global’s latest results highlight the growing commercial importance of these networks as businesses expand their digital operations.
