Salmon Finance has received a Client Protection Certification at the Silver Level under the global Cerise+SPTF Client Protection Standards, recognizing the company’s commitment to fair, transparent, and responsible financial services.

The certification followed an independent assessment conducted by MicroFinanza Rating (MFR), an international financial rating agency that evaluated how Salmon protects customers and integrates responsible practices into its operations.

The recognition highlights several areas of customer protection, including fair pricing, transparent product information, secure transactions, and respectful customer treatment throughout the lending journey.

Salmon said the certification means customers can access credit products with clearer loan terms, reasonable pricing, and greater confidence that their financial information and transactions are protected through security measures, anti-fraud systems, and 24/7 customer support.

Obtaining the certification requires financial institutions to undergo rigorous evaluation against international client protection standards. Based on publicly disclosed Cerise+SPTF data, fewer than 100 financial institutions worldwide currently hold a Client Protection Certification, with Salmon Finance among only six active financial institutions in the Philippines with this recognition.

Eunice Monsod, Chief Compliance Officer of Salmon Group, said the company believes financial inclusion goes beyond providing access to loans and must include services that are fair, transparent, secure, and designed to help customers make informed financial decisions.

The certification reinforces the growing focus among fintech companies and financial institutions on responsible lending practices, customer trust, and digital financial security as more Filipinos adopt digital credit solutions.
