TCL is strengthening its position in the premium television market with the introduction of its latest SQD Mini LED platform, combining advanced display technologies designed to enhance picture quality, color accuracy, and overall viewing immersion.
At the heart of the new platform are three key innovations: Precise Dimming, Super QLED, and Ultra Color Filter. Together, these technologies aim to deliver improved contrast, richer colors, sharper motion, and more refined image detail across a wide range of content, including sports, movies, and gaming.
TCL’s Precise Dimming technology enhances light control across the screen through upgraded backlighting, micro-lens design, and image-processing algorithms, helping create clearer and more stable visuals. Meanwhile, Super QLED improves color gamut and color purity to produce more vibrant and accurate color reproduction. The Ultra Color Filter further enhances image quality by refining color precision and reducing impurities, resulting in deeper and more natural-looking visuals.
The company attributes much of its display innovation to its vertically integrated ecosystem, supported by TCL CSOT, which provides manufacturing capabilities, research and development resources, and next-generation display technologies.
TCL’s technology push comes alongside strong market performance. According to industry research firm Omdia, TCL ranked first globally in shipment market share for 75-inch-and-above television sets in 2025, led the global Mini LED TV shipment market in 2025, and maintained the top position in global Google TV shipments from 2021 to 2025.
As competition intensifies in the premium TV segment, TCL is focusing on transforming display innovations into tangible consumer experiences, positioning its SQD Mini LED technology as a key driver of the next generation of home entertainment.
