TCL Philippines is highlighting its latest residential air conditioners as a way for Filipino households to manage indoor humidity and cooling needs while keeping energy consumption in check during the rainy season.
The company’s lineup integrates T-AI Energy Saving technology, which analyzes room conditions and adjusts cooling performance to reduce unnecessary power consumption. TCL says the technology can deliver energy savings of up to 37%+, depending on usage and conditions.
The technology is available across key residential models, including the TCL FreshIN 3.0, VoxIN, and BreezeIN+ series.
AI-powered energy management
The TCL FreshIN 3.0 features an A+++ energy rating and an upgraded T-AI algorithm designed to optimize cooling efficiency.
TCL says the FreshIN 3.0 1.5HP model can operate for as low as ₱2.00 per hour, based on testing conducted by the Meralco Power Lab.
The TCL VoxIN combines T-AI energy-saving technology with voice controls and TCL’s Gentle Breeze feature, which distributes cooled air more softly to reduce direct airflow. The series also carries an A+++ energy rating.
The VoxIN 1.5HP variant has an estimated operating cost as low as ₱3.18 per hour, based on the same testing.
For households requiring higher cooling capacity, the TCL BreezeIN+ 2HP is designed to maintain cooling performance in high-temperature conditions. Its Air-cooled E-box is engineered to support operation when outdoor temperatures reach up to 60°C.
The BreezeIN+ 2HP has an estimated operating cost of as low as ₱4.55 per hour, according to Meralco Power Lab testing.
Meralco Power Lab testing
TCL has also had its latest air-conditioning units tested through the Meralco Power Lab, providing consumers with laboratory-based energy consumption data.
The facility tests commercially available appliances to help consumers understand energy efficiency and estimated operating costs.
However, the source notes that laboratory results do not represent an official product endorsement or guarantee of lifetime performance. Actual electricity consumption and operating costs can vary depending on factors such as usage patterns, appliance condition, environmental conditions, ambient temperature, and prevailing electricity rates.
Meralco Power Lab also notes that higher ambient temperatures can increase air-conditioning costs because the system may need to work harder and operate longer to maintain the desired indoor temperature.
Designed for comfort and efficiency
TCL Philippines says its approach combines cooling performance with energy-management features designed for everyday residential use.
The company’s air-conditioning lineup targets different household requirements, from the FreshIN 3.0’s air circulation and filtration features to the voice-controlled VoxIN and the high-temperature performance of the BreezeIN+.
For Filipino households balancing cooling requirements with electricity costs, the combination of AI-assisted energy management, high energy-efficiency ratings, and laboratory-tested operating-cost estimates provides additional information when evaluating air-conditioning options.
